In the beginning .....

When I arrived in the UK in September 2011 after 14 years in Melbourne, my biggest fear was how would I cope with no access to the coffee scene I had left behind, expecting a wasteland of major brands and coffee drowned in milk. Imagine how I felt when within the first couple of weeks in London I looked down a small side street opposite Liverpool Street Station and espied a notice saying "Finely crafted coffee by Australian trained barristas"!!



No more reliance on a single machiato with milk and froth to the top of the cup! Instead pure heaven in a standard Australian sized take-away latte, available a stone's throw from a major London thoroughfare, with lamingtons among the tasty snacks set out in the narrow bar space catering for a continuous line of adoring London office staff. And that is just the beginning of the story .......
